Who we are

The Elizabethton Housing and Development Agency is a federal subsidized, non-profit corporation governed by Federal and State law under the directions of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). A cooperation agreement with the City of Elizabethton establishes a governing body existing of five Commissioners appointed by the Mayor to serve a five year term. The EHDA provides structurally sound, safe housing, to low and moderate income families through the Public Housing, Section Eight Voucher, and Section Eight Moderate Rehab programs.

ANNUAL PLAN AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW

The EHDA is updating our Annual Plan for the year 2027.

The plan provides details about the Agency’s immediate operations, program participants, programs and services for the upcoming fiscal year, including the Capital Fund Program.

In addition to making the Plan available to the public, a Public Hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.in the Vanessa McQueen Community Room, located at 910 Pine Ridge Circle.

Written comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. August 17, 2026. Please send comments to:
